General Technology: AAS
Through a partnership agreement with Utah College of Applied Technology (UCAT) and Utah State University, you can apply your certificate/credential toward an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in General Technology. Following the completion of an approved UCAT or USU Eastern certificate and being admitted to USU, you must successfully complete the USU requirements in a chosen emphasis area. Upon graduation, your certificate will be converted to 30 USU credit hours and you will be awarded a USU Associate of Applied Science degree in General Technology.

Apply to Utah State University
Students are admitted into this program through the university’s regular admission process.
New freshmen admitted to USU in good standing (a 2.5 GPA) qualify for admission to this major.
Transfer students from other institutions and from other USU majors need a 2.0 total GPA for admission to this major in good standing.
Students who have completed a 900-hour program at a UCAT institution or a certificate of completion/proficiency from USU may apply to USU for admission to this program. There are four degree emphasis area for students which include: General Business, Allied Health Systems, Technology Systems, and Design and Creative Art.
Certificates of Proficiency and Completion from USU also count toward the General Technology AAS in place of a UCAT 900 hour certificate.
